In a press statement, Raj kandukuri and Yash Rangineni, the proud producers of recent block buster Pellichoopulu, which won 2 national awards namely for the best regional film and  for best dialogues, thanked the media, audience and the jury of the national film awards committee on this wonderful happy occasion. Yash and Raj also mentioned that they’ll be receiving the national award jointly on 3rd of May 2017 at New Delhi along with the director Tharun Bhaskar dasyam. Multi-faceted personality Dr. T Subbirami Reddy, fondly called as ‘Kalabandhu’ by film industry folks and common people alike, yesterday felicitated Megastar Chiranjeevi at an ‘Aathmeeya Veduka’ held at Park Hyatt, Hyderabad.  At the event, TSR came across as a dear well-wisher of the beloved megastar, expressing joy over the re-entry of Chiru after a gap of nearly a decade.

HONG KONG/SINGAPORE: Rajkumar Akella was presented with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) Asia Pacific Copyright Educator (A.C.E.) Award today at CineAsia in recognition of his significant contribution to improving the ability for filmmakers and distributors in India to best protect their creative work in the digital ecosystem.

Acknowledging Rajkumar Akella’s major contribution to raising awareness about the importance of strong copyright, Mike Ellis, President and Managing Director Asia Pacific MPA, said, “Rajkumar has demonstrated incredible leadership in the field of educating people about the importance of robust copyright regimes. His drive and passion over many years is to be applauded and appreciated. We are happy to continue our work with Rajkumar on a range of content protection initiatives over the coming months, and hope to see creative rights considerably advanced for the film and television community in India.”

Speaking after receiving the award, Rajkumar said, “I am thrilled, humbled and greatly motivated by this recognition. I accept it on behalf of the Indian movie industry and particularly the Telugu film industry. My heartfelt thanks go to the MPA, MPDA India and CineAsia for this award. Until recently film piracy used to be a cool thing in India. Now that perception is slowly but surely changing and it’s fighting piracy that is cool. To defeat the piracy threat, I believe that the creative industries across the world must join forces and speak and act as one – it sounds ambitious – but I believe it is achievable.”

In 2005, Rajkumar played an important role in the establishment of the Anti-Video Piracy Cell of what is now known as the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce. A former distributor of films, he recognized early that the industry could not survive if piracy trends continued unabated.

In 2012, he was instrumental in establishing a strategic alliance with the Motion Picture Dist. Association (MPDA), the Motion Picture Association’s local representative office in India, for knowledge sharing, adopting best practices and jointly tackling issues related to content theft.  These efforts have resulted in successful enforcement operations in 2013 and 2015, which culminated in the arrest of members of major camcording syndicates in India and a decline in camcording incidents between 2012 and 2015.

Rajkumar has led successful enforcement operations to dismantle operations of multiple piracy syndicates across India. In 2013, he helped develop an innovative anti-piracy mobile application iMovieCop. The app has been used to train over 7000 cinema staff on how to deter camcording and it has been received exceptionally well by law enforcement authorities.

In 2016, Rajkumar helped establish the Telangana Intellectual Property Crime Unit (TIPCU) – modeled closely on the UK’s Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU). This is India’s first specialized state-level enforcement taskforce to fight online content theft.

Rajkumar serves as Co-Chair of FICCI’s Intellectual Property Rights Outreach Committee and as a Member on the National Tourism Advisory Council (NTAC).

The MPA A.C.E. Award was presented during an awards event at CineAsia, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and attended by over 350 people representing the exhibition and film community in the Asia Pacific region. CineAsia is the only international convention dedicated to Asian cinema exhibition and distribution and is now in its 22^nd year.

Past recipients of the MPA A.C.E. Award include Indonesian filmmakers Sheila Timothy (2015), Maya Barack Evans (2014), Philippines’ filmmaker and lawyer Joji Alonso (2013), Tropfest founder John Polson (2012), Malaysian film producer and recording artist Norman Halim (2011), Australian actor Roy Billing (2010), Hong Kong film producer Raymond Wong (2009), Thai producer and director Jareuk Kaljareuk (2008), and New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison (2007).

Dr.T.Subbarami  Reddy founder of TSR  foundation has informed that a jury consisting of TSR ,Pamela Chopra,(wife of late Yash Chopra), Padmini Kolhapure, Boney Kapoor, have decided to give 4th Yash Chopra National Memorial award this time to Shah Rukh Khan.

After the demise of Yash Chopra to perpetuate his Memory Dr.T.Subbarami Reddy through his foundation has instituted a award carrying 10 lakhs gold medal and citation.

Previous award winners are Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha for the three years.

This award will be given to Shah Rukh Khan on 25th February,2017 at JW Marriott in Mumbai is a glittering function.

Hyderabad, 13th December, 2016: Aditya Mehta Foundation has added seven more International medals in its bucket. It has always stood up in supporting its extended family in the best possible way. This organization with support from Sports Authority of Telangana State, Telangana Tourism, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is actively bringing awareness and aid to athletes with disabilities. The founder Aditya Mehta himself is a double silver medalist at Asian Paracycling Championship and also with several other achievements to his credit. The foundation was started in the year 2013 with the vision to help athletes with disabilities. In the matter of just an year, these athletes won around 20 medals for the country. 

The badminton champions who were sponsored about a month ago, finished their events at the Asian Para Badminton Championship, and have won SEVEN MEDALS! Adding these 7 to the 9 International medals won by them over the course of this year sums up to a whopping 16 International medals in one year. India truly is en-route to the top of the table at Para Sports. Here are their Individual results Mark Dharmai : 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in the SS6 Category, Manoj Sarkar : 1 Gold and 1 Bronze medal in the SL3 Category, Anand Kumar : 1 Bronze medal in the SL4 Category, Sukant Kadam : 1 Bronze medal in the SL4 Category. Encouragement comes through acknowledgement! Hence to appreciate the hard work and determination of these para sports persons, who despite of their physical constraints were successful in bringing laurels to the nation, Aditya Mehta Foundation is going to felicitate them today. 

The organization is also going to add one more name into its beneficiaries list. Tinkesh Kaushik who is a triple amputee will be presented with prothesis worth Rs. 8 lakh. Kaushik met with 11,000W electric shock when he was 9 in 2002. He was thrown 2 feet away with his left arm displaced and hanging on the branch of a tree. Both his legs were totally burnt. He has recently managed to run 6km on with his prosthetic leg. And also had successfully finished 3km Swacch Ability Run held on 3rd December at Noida on International Disabilities Day. Aditya Mehta Foundation respects the efforts put in by Tinkesh and has seen a spark him which will one day take him to great heights. In order to help him shine bright just as any other abled person, the organization has come forward to donate prosthesis to him and will also be trained in para-sports later on. 

Ms Shilpa Reddy and Ms Regina Cassandra, two of the eminent trustees of this organization will do the honours. Also accompanying them is Ms Lakshmi Manchu who has always been very generous and is involved in social welfare programs. 

AMF has recently held the curtain raiser ride to the upcoming Infinity Ride from Attari (Wagah Border) to New Delhi flagged off by Shri V P Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab. A Skill Development Centre has also been established by Border Security Force in collaboration with Adtya Mehta Foundation at BSF Training Centre, Chawla. This Skill Development Centre will be the orgnaization’s first big step towards its vision to make India the World’s best country in Para-Sports. It will be a place where any person with a disability can make his dreams come true. Aditya Mehta Foundation in association with Central Armed Police Forces has started regular coaching sessions for persons with disabilities. This coaching programme comprises of para-swimming at Kolkata, para-cycling at Hyderabad, para-badminton at Bangalore and wheelchair lawn tennis at both Ahmedabad and Chennai. Persons with disabilities from any part of the country can get trained through this at no cost.
