After the release of the trailer which created high expectations on the movie finally, Dhruva has hit the screens today.
Story:

Dhruva is a sincere IPS officer who wants to eradicate the crimes. He with the help of his friends tries to catch the criminals in the training period only. He will get succeeded. In the meantime, Ishika( Rakul) who fell in love with Dhruva in the training period will join his team. Dhruva’s aim is to catch the criminal who controls all the crimes and politicians. Then he chooses his enemy and targets him. From now the central theme of the movie starts. He finally finds that Sidharth Abhimanyu(Aravind Swamy) is the man behind all these crimes. The second half of the film is excellent with all the thrilling elements. Not revealing the story as it is a crime thriller you just have to watch it on the screen.

Performances:-

Ram Charan: Finally after a long wait Charan has come up with an action-packed crime thriller. He has put his best effort for the movie. His macho looks a bid plus for the film. Doing the regular commercial movies made him do the same scope of acting but he now he had chosen a different concept and was succeeded in it. Coming to his acting, he has played well and satisfied his fans, not only his fans but also for all the audience his effort Will be seen on the screen. Talking about dance, there is no scope of dance as. First three songs will run with the script and ” Neethone” is just OK according to dance. Overall Ram Charan did complete justice to his role and his body build up is a big asset for the fans.

Rakul Preet Singh: – Rakul Preet Singh is excellent with her looks especially in the song ” Pareshanu ra” and ” choosa choosa” song she is cute with her expressions. In the movie, she got some scope for acting, and she played it well. Her presence in the film adds some glamor to the movie.

Aravind Swamy: – We should not hesitate to say that Aravind Swamy is another hero of the film. As he is an experienced actor, it is easy for him to play the negative role as he did the same role in Tamil version. His attitude and his looks are just superb. He still looks young even at this age also. He is one of the highlights of the film.

Posani, Navdeep, Nasser and all other co-actors did their part well

Technical aspects:-

Director: – Director Surender Reddy has made the remake for the first time. His fast screenplay is the main plus for the movie. His taking always makes us interesting to watch. He has kept some original scenes as it is in the Tamil version because he doesn’t want to spoil anything with the right ones. He had chosen some real locations for the shoot of the film. He also proved that he could also make the remakes hit. Like the story, itself is exciting thriller you won’t get bored of watching the whole movie. Everything will be linked to the other scenes.

Music: – The audio of the movie is different. As it already hit apparently, it becomes a plus for the film. Hip Hop Thamizha is the music director for the film. He has given his best I think. The background score is excellent. All songs are good even with the picturization. Hope he gives the best music for his future films.

DOP:- P.S.Vinod is the cinematographer for the movie. The locations are shot too good. Particularly in the title song the packs and all the body formation of Ram Charan was shot good. He has shown the heroine beautiful. Every scene of the movie is good. He has done his job quite well.

The story by Mohan Raja is the main heart of the movie. He is the original script writer in Tamil.
The editing part is also good. The scenes between hero and villain are the big assets.
The production values are high as we know that Geeta Arts is the one of the most major production house.

What’s good:-

Ram Charan power packed performance, and his macho looks helped the movie a lot. After Ram Charan, we have to talk about Aravind Swamy. He has the same role along with Charan. In fact, the main story starts after the entrance of Aravind Swamy. Rakul Preet Singh adds some glamor to the movie. Music is also plus for the film. The second half of the movie is the main plot of the film. No doubt it is a big plus for the film. The direction is done too good in such a way that Surender Reddy didn’t spoil the original script and made some Small changes which would help the movie in his style. The biggest plus for the film and the real hero of the film is the story itself.

What’s bad:-

The length of the movie is too long. In the first half, the movie starts with the slow narration. Until the pre- interval scene the movie doesn’t catch the train. Those who go to watch the dance of Charan will surely get disappointed.

What should’ve done:

If the movie is trimmed a little bit, it might have been a good movie. As it is a crime thriller, there is no scope for the entertainment. At least there should be one dance number as everyone expects dance from Charan.
If the fast half of the movie is a bit fast, it would have become a good movie. As the whole story runs between Charan and Aravind Swamy, there is not much scope of acting for others to perform. Overall the remakes never beat the originals.

Final verdict:-

This movie is a good come back for Ram Charan. His efforts and acting will be seen. This movie has good music. The theme and the story are the main pluses for the film. It is a watchable film. Though who had seen the Thani Oruvan in Tamil will not be satisfied with some elements because when comparison comes originals are always the best. As demonetization is the big problem we don’t know how much it collects but finally Charan has got a hit what matters at present. You can watch this movie with no doubt and will like it. It is a good crime thriller.
