దర్శకుడిగా, నిర్మాతగా విభిన్న చిత్రాల్ని రూపొందించిన మధుర శ్రీధర్‌రెడ్డి, ప్రస్తుతం ‘ఫ్యాషన్‌ డిజైనర్‌ సన్‌ ఆఫ్‌ లేడీస్‌ టైలర్‌’ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మిస్తున్న విషయం విదితమే. 30 ఏళ్ళ క్రితం రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్‌ హీరోగా సంచలన విజయాన్ని అందుకున్న ‘లేడీస్‌ టైలర్‌’ సినిమాకి ఇది సీక్వెల్‌. వంశీ దర్శకత్వంలో ఈ చిత్రం రూపొందుతోంది.

ఇదిలా ఉండగా, మధుర శ్రీధర్‌ మరో చిత్ర నిర్మాణానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. ‘ఎ ఫర్‌ అమెరికా’ పేరుతో తెరకెక్కనున్న ఈ చిత్రానికి సుజయ్ – సుశీల్‌ అనే దర్శక ద్వయం దర్శకత్వం వహించనుండడం గమనార్హం. సుజయ్- సుశీల్‌ చెప్పిన కథ తనకు బాగా నచ్చిందనీ, ఇదొక కాంటెంపరరీ అర్బన్‌ కామెడీ జోనర్‌లో ఉంటుందనీ, కథ వినగానే ఈ సినిమాని నిర్మించాలనే నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చానని మధుర శ్రీధర్‌రెడ్డి చెప్పారు. మరో ఔత్సాహిక నిర్మాత అప్పిరెడ్డితో కలిసి ఈ చిత్రాన్ని ఆయన నిర్మిస్తున్నారు. ‘ఎ ఫర్‌ అమెరికా’ సినిమా కోసం కొత్త నటీనటుల్ని తీసుకోవాలనుకుంటున్నారు. ఇందు కోసం ఔత్సాహికుల నుంచి దరఖాస్తుల్ని ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నారు. ఔత్సాహికులెవరైనా తమ ప్రొఫైల్స్‌ని పంపించవచ్చని మధుర శ్రీధర్‌రెడ్డి చెప్పారు. ఈ చిత్రానికి సునీల్‌ కాశ్యప్‌ సంగీతం అందిస్తున్నారు. ఔత్సాహికులు తమ ప్రొఫైల్స్‌ని ఈ-మెయిల్‌ ద్వారా పంపించవచ్చు.

Passionate film maker Madhura Sreedhar Reddy is currently producing his film “Fashion Designer S/O Ladies Tailor” in the direction of senior director Vamsy. It’s a sequel to 30-year old cult classic ‘Ladies Tailor’.

Now he lands another film on the ground with the title “A For America”, a contemporary urban comedy, in the direction of the duo Sujoi and Sushil.

“Sujoi and Sushil came up with a very interesting contemporary subject and I am convinced by the commercial potentiality of the idea and content. 1969 తెలంగాణా ఉద్యమంలో పాల్గొన్న మా నాన్న చెప్పే సంగతులు వింటూ పెరిగిన నేను, విన్న ఆనాటి సంగతులు, చూసిన ఈనాటి సంఘటనలు నాలో ఉన్న దర్శకుడిని కొన్నాళ్లుగా నిద్రపోనీయలేదు. ఆ క్రమంలో కొన్ని పరిశోధనలు చేసాను. తెలంగాణా, సమైక్యాంధ్ర ఉద్యమకారుల్ని విడివిడిగా కలిసాను. కొందరి మాటల ద్వారా ఎన్టీయార్, చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు, వై. ఎస్. ఆర్, సోనియా గాంధి, చిరంజీవి, లగడపాటి రాజ్ గోపాల్, వెంకయ్యనాయుడు, అద్వాని ఇంకా పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ తెలంగాణా ఉద్యమాన్ని అర్థం చేసుకున్న తీరు తెలుసుకున్నాను.

Few called him a separate state visionary. Few called him a regional fanatic who created a wedge between Telugu people. Few called him a dictator in a democratic system. Others called him a protector of democracy with dictatorial approach. Few called him a fighting force, few called him a hasty man. Few called him a political genius. But for the 4 crore Telangana people, he was the charioteer with a goal… a great leader who made their dreams come true.

It didn’t matter as to who said what and who thought what, he simply went ahead with his movement. This is the history we witnessed and we are now witnessing the present. The moment three letters KCR became the address for Telangana movement, the entire nation began seeing a positive side in people’s movement.

After listening to the tales narrated by my father who was part of the Telangana agitation in 1969 and watching the incidents of current time, the director in me gave sleepless nights. I did some research in this angle and met the Telangana and Samaikyandhra activists separately. I had Goosebumps when I heard the way the likes of NTR, Chandrababu Naidu, YSR, Sonia Gandhi, Chiranjeevi, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Venkaiah Naidu, L K Advani and Pawan Kalyan understood the Telangana agitation.

I discovered that the kind of challenges KCR faced were on par with what Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King faced during their movements. As a filmmaker, I decided to bring this history onscreen. The shooting will commence on June 2^nd, 2017 the Telangana formation day and the film will release on February 17^th, 2018 on the eve of KCR’s birthday. The film will be produced by Raj Kandukuri on his home banner Dharmapada Creations.
