Story:

Performances:
Nikhil:

Nikhil look is changed for this film. He looks like an introvert with a suspicious looks. He carried his body language as a person who takes revenge. The child characters who played keshava also looked like Nikhil. Thats a plus. He did his best to the role of keshava.

Ritu Varma:

Ritu varma not very beafutiful in the movie due to the role may be. Some times she even looked bad. She have some importance in the film and have some dialogues to take part in the story. Thanks to the director , he didn’t put lots of songs in the film due to the story restrictions.

Vennela Kishore:

Vennela kishore is the one we will be talking about once the movie completed. He did different kind of comedy from the routine. He let audience to laugh with his expressions only. Thats the impact he made.

Isha Koppikar:

Isha koppikar got some good role after many days in tollywood. She will seen in every frame after hero. She is apt for the intelligent police officer. Her character started will in first half but lost importance due to bad script and direction.

Rao Ramesh:

Rao ramesh some important role in this film and he did well in very important scends which heart for the film.

Ajay, Brahmaji , Raja Ravindra and Hero friends and Vennela kishore friends did their limited roles well.

Technical Aspects:-

Director: Sudheer Varma, New director has some good taste in thriller films and getting audience attention with movie poster. He imagined hero character well and able to glue audience with some good suspence. He got good grip on locations as well. All the locations in this film are very natural and seems like they have taken good care. He had good rappo with photographer . Its eveident from the good cinematography in the important scenes. But due to the bad script he have to adjust some important scenes in the film very to very ordinary.

DOP:

After Vennela kishore we should and we will talk about Cinematographer Divakar. For a thriller and crime stories photography is very important due to the details we need to showcase to the audience sonthat they can be oart of the film. Divakar succeded in this aspect. There are some good areal shots where in the are in top not notch and considerate. We can see this in second murder(oops thats a spoiler).

Music:

Nusic director gave some good introductory score to hero in the film. He is able to catch those sound while we shove a knife into an object. He should have got those sad music better. overall Music by sunny is just ok.

What’s good: 
Vennela Kishore comedy is good. Areal shots in the film are excellent and sometimes raise eyebrows.

The mortuary scene is good where hero in his child searches his parents. The shot where attender cleans the bloody knife shot well.

In the second murder the low shot showing body and the police shot well.

Chasing scenes by bike around a bus and jeep in the film are very good . we have to watch these scenes. Nikhil performance is good.

What’s bad:
Direction and script. There are lots of illogical scenes in the film. They can be handled well but director lost grip on those scenes or he didn’t have tome concentrate on thise. Though the story looks promising director failed to concentrate on each and every scene.

He should answer why the police officer become very weak towards the end of the story. He didn’t took care of some important details. People should feel bad for protogonist and show empathy to him. Director not able to do that. Due to that people will lose concentration towards the revenge.

Music is not good. In revenge stories music is important in the scenes where directors revels the reason for revenge. But people won’t feel that empathy towards progonist loss.

How it should’ve been made:
When we announce Quintin Torantino in the film titles audience will expect some good quntin torontono. Except introducing story in chapters and introduction knife blood scene(mortuary), we didn’t find such scenes. Its appreciable though.

The scene where hero and specialist police officer meets should’ve handled better. How cum police officer convince herself very easily that she got to a level where she can talk friendly with protogonist. Audience are not convinced . She need to go through lots of struggle and convince her self that she lose to hero. Director is not able to show this.

Sathya , female progonist did some wonders which are not natural in this film. First director should show why she is very capable of doing very important things in the film with very ease. There is no scope to assume that heroine can do these wonders. Audience will not convince when heroines do some jailbreaks with ease. First there should be some foundation is needed for these scenes.

In the first murder the victim shirt will have very less blood in the wrong place, though we can see the stabber making great impact by the knife. They should show enough blood to create some atmosphere.

No one will just simply say to a kid to not to come into mortuary.

They should show scenes where hero actually falls in love with heroine.

Heroine always concentrates on heros actions but says she is in love from child. Sometimes dialogues will not convince audience there should be some scenes.

Screenplay purposefull revealed some importance about hero murdering style.

The scene where hero friend takes hero to the doctor is not needed. It will cause confusion to the audience.

In a current scenario police are not weak. The should have shown that. But didn’t. Its evident in the scene where Subordinate orders specialist officer to release captured Keshav. When you are showing crime naturally scenes and logic should come natural.

Final verdict: The movie story is interesting and predictable in parts. Except cinematography and Nikhil, Vennela kishore performance its failed to reach expectations set by First Look posters.

Plot line – Story starts with Venkatesh(National Coach in Boxing) getting transferred to Vizag due to differences with his seniors and Nazar is his assistant coach in Vizag.Venky is desperate to give India a gold medal in World Championship as he can’t get one despite of his superb boxing capabilities prone to politics in Boxing federation.Venkatesh Finds Ramudu(Heroine Ritika) in a slum when she was fighting with rowdies and identifies the latent potential in her becoming a good boxer. Ritika’s sister is also a boxer who tries to get a police job in sports quota.Venky tries to make Ramudu(Ritika) a boxing champion and he approaches her saying he will pay 500 bucks per day if she comes for training.She accepts the offer and gets trained for boxing.Ritika is a very arrogant girl and won’t listen to anybody’s words.And then she will be taken along with her sister to National Selections and she will lose due to her arrogance.Meanwhile, her sister will win and joins the national training camp. Venky will get furious and scolds Ritika. But, he stills believes in her capabilities and will come to her home and asks her to take to Hisar for another national competition. Her family will agree after a little bit of contemplation. So, Again Ritika goes for national selections. This time her sister doesn’t likes Venky giving Ritika too much of attention than her and she will injure Ritika’s hand wantedly before the competition and Ritika will again lose. Interval Bang will be Venky Becoming much more Furious Venky will scold Ritika and her to go home.

Second Half is all about How Ritika approaches Venky again and wins the Gold Medal despite chief National Coach who doesn’t like Venky,Ritika and Asking Venky to resign before the finals of tournament as a revenge for Venky slapping him previously in one of the previous tournaments.

Performances:
Venky is apt as Head coach with his rugged natural look. Ritika did a good job as boxer and Tom Boy. Nasser is okay Assistant coach giving his trademark comedy touch. All the other actors like Raghu Babu and character artists did their best given the scope of their roles.

Technical Aspects :
Music By Santosh Narayanan is okay with O Sakkanoda being an ear worm. Photography is good. Editing is not Upto the mark and not crisp. Coming to Direction, Sudha Kongara did a good Job in 1st half with a good blend of Comedy,Emotion,Action but completely lost the plot in 2nd Half with a very boring screenplay. As the climax is quite evident, she should have at least made it interesting in 2 nd half which she didn’t do and the magic of sports movies like “Dangal” is surely missing in #Guru.

Verdict:
#Guru is a one time watchable and might end up as “Below Average” to “Average” venture.

Story:
Siddarth ( Sai Dharam Tej) son of Mahender ( Jagapati Babu) is very close to him and will get affectionately close to him. Meanwhile, Mahender dad ( Mukesh Rushi) asks his son to return home and take up his horse riding business. Mukesh creates differences between Siddarth and Mahender. Soon Siddarth runs away from his house and lives his life. He runs a newspaper. In a party, he falls in love with Sitara( Rakul) and follows her. But she rejects him. Sitara father suddenly arranges her marriage, and there a twist arrives at the interval bang. What is that twist and what happened next? Did Siddarth wins his love does he meet his father? For everything, you have to watch on the screen.

Performances:
Sai Dharam Tej:  Starting from his looks he had changed everything. His looks his performance he improved a lot. He is the biggest asset for the movie. But what everyone expected from him is the dance which was not up to the mark. But overall his performance is a plus for the film.

Rakul Preet Singh: She added the glamor to the film. Especially in the songs, she looked gorgeous. Coming to her performance, she is OK and did what she had to do. Though she hasn’t much to perform she tried to maintain her presence. Her chemistry with Tej came out well.

Jagapati Babu:  He got a good role to perform. His character looks cool. He maintained his pace and acted quite naturally. His emotions carried well in some scenes.

Other actors also performed up to what they had to. Here Pruthvi as Singham Sujatha has created some laughs in the first half of the movie. Vennela Kishore also played the character of hero assistant, and he also performed well and created some humor. Ali also in the second has created some fun.

Technical Aspects:-

Director: Gopicand Malineni is the director of the movie. His direction is just OK. He handled the first half with some entertainment and some love story. But in the second half, he couldn’t maintain the same pace. Though the story plot is good, he couldn’t make it an interesting one.

DOP: Chota K.Naidu is the cinematographer for the film. We know that how he make the hero look on the screen. He did his job perfectly. His camera visuals in the songs and fight sequences came out nice.

Music: S.S.Thaman is the music director of the film. His background score is good. But the songs are just average. He is not successful in this part.

Fight sequences are useful. The choreography is too bad, and mega fans will gets disappointed because of the dance.

What’s good: 
Sai Dharam Tej is the big plus for the movie. His stylish looks and his improvement in his performance are good. Rakul glamor is also one asset. Comic scenes came out quite well. Pruthvi adds some humor in the first half. In the second half, Ali tried his best. Photography is also a big plus for the film.

What’s bad:
Music didn’t come out well. Choreography for Tej is the big minus for the movie. The second half of the film doesn’t look realistic, and it also doesn’t match the cinematic formula. The direction is also not up to the mark.

How it should’ve been made:
This movie could have been better if the film is narrated according to the story plot. The climax should have been shot still more interesting because one doesn’t feel the winning movement.

Final verdict: This movie is made some interesting with some entertainment quotient. The first half is entertained somewhat right. The second half has some lacking emotions. The choreography is not okay. Overall it’s just a one time watch for Tej. And cannot say whether this might be a right or either a common one. So finally this is a just average flick.

Director: – K. Raghavendra rao is the director of the film. No doubt he can make the devotional films better. But his same way of taking reminds us of his previous movie Annamayya as this one also is about Lord Vebkateswara . Especially in the song of Pragya Jaiswal his taking reminds us of his old times with all flowers and fruits and making to look the heroine gorgeous. But most of the part he hasnt diverted the movie and just concentrated on the story line. Overall its just a good devotional movie made by the Darshakendra.

Music: –  

MM. Keeravani is the soul of the film. His music is a huge plus for the movie. All the songs are good. The background score is really good. Especially in preclimax scenes and almost the climax scene the music makes us to feel like we too are devoted to the good. Overall keeravani is back with a beautiful album again.

DOP:-   S. Gopal Reddy is the cinematographer for this movie. The photography is really good. The whole shots and the scenes were

J.K. Bharavi has written the story for this movie. As these combo of Nag Raghavendra rao, Keeravani, J.K. Bharavi created magic previously now also they succeeded to some extent only.

Editing by Gowtham Raju is just OK. Some scenes could have been edited which didn’t helped the movie.
What’s good:-

The first real thing in the film is no doubt Akkineni Nagarjuna. He is back with his awesome performance. M.M. keeravani is another plus for the movie. Nagarjuna is the heart and Keeravani is the soul of the film . Th cinematography is also good. Second half of the movie is really good and the pace starts and doesn’t end till the climax. Pre climax and climax scenes are good and Nag’s performance made them to watch it with a big eye. Production values are also good.

What’s bad:-  

Thin story line is the backdrop. First of the movie is just OK. The movie is of the same old taking of Raghavendra rao’s previous devotional films. Editing could have been done.

what should have been done:

If this movie could have been made quite interestingly with some more devotional scenes it could have been better. Jagapati Babu’s character is of no use. Even the song shot on him and Anushka looks like a speed breaker in the movie. Other characters didn’t have much scope for the acting. Lacking of some emotional scenes also a minus fircthe movie.

Final Verdict:-
This movie is definitely a good devotional movie. His fans feels really great for doing such films. You can watch this movie especially for Nagarjuna performance and to listen good music of Keeravani. Just go and enjoy with your family this devotional movie about Lord Venkateswara Swamy and Hathi Ram Baba.

Story:

The movie starts with a village backdrop an old couple RGaru( Prakash Raju) and his wife Jayasudha living in a house lonely waiting for their children for so many years to a cone and visits them. But this time Jayasudha decides to go abroad to meet his kids if Raju Garu doesn’t invite them for this Sankranthi. So Raju garu sends mail to his two sons and daughter that they are applying for divorce and they should take care of their mother. After receiving the mail, all children of Raju garu decides to come and solve the problem of their parent’s divorce. Bangarau Raju( Naresh) father of Raju( Sharvanand) lives with Raju garu as he is his father’s brother. Raju cares so much about his grandparents and has great respect towards them. So finally Jayasudha’s daughter arrives India. Raju receives them and takes to their village Aatreypuram. Jayasudha’s daughter Indraja also has a daughter Nitya( Anupama Parameswaran). She gets attracted to the climate of the community and all the beautiful sceneries. Now the other two sons also arrive, and Jayasudha feels euphoric as the whole family is present. Now everyone tries to settle the issue of divorce, but their parents refuse to talk about it and say that we will discuss after the festival. So everyone decides to stay till the festival. Meanwhile, Nitya slowly develops her relationship towards Raju, and both of them falls in love with each other. Raju observes that something is going between their grandparents and he decides to solve the problem. So he and Nitya finally makes some plans to make the whole family as one. Did Raju succeeded in explaining the whole thing and did he won his love.? For all these things you have to watch the whole family drama on the screen.

Performances:-

Sharvanand: Sharvanand once again proved that he could play any character with ease and relaxed attitude. He was well set for the character. He played the role of Raju, son of Naresh who always follows his grandfather’s steps and cares for him. Even in the emotional scenes also the output is excellent. Sharvanand is one of the versatile actors who can play any character offered to him.

Anupama Parameswaran: She played the role of Nitya granddaughter of Prakashraj and Jayasudha. She had the fresh face and became one of the pluses for the movie. Her acting and dances and the way she played her character was projected as she wants to prove herself that she has the capability of being a good actress. She used every opportunity in the movie to promote herself in a right way.

Prakashraj: He played the character of Raju Garu as the central head of the family. These type of rules are shared for him. So he did the justice to his role and put his effort for the better output. Though he has some dialogues, only the whole character is based on the emotions.

Jayasudha: She played the role of Prakashraj’s wife, and she resembles the mother of all the present generation whose children studying at abroad and doesn’t have time to meet their parents and she has shown the suffering and the pain where everyone can see the character in their daily life. She has played the character in such a way that it doesn’t seem like cinematic but as the real one.

Naresh had done his part as a village guy who always works for the family and is loyal and has created some humor in some scenes.

Indraja after a long gap has played some decent character as the daughter of Prakash Raj and Jaya Sudha. She lives at abroad and has no time to meet their parents. She makes her presence felt in the movie though she has small character.
Other characters have done their job and did what could have been done by them.

Technical aspects:-

Direction: – Satish Vegesna is the director of this movie. Though his previous movies didn’t show up well this time also, e has chosen the same old routine family script with slow narration and doesn’t have many twists. The text is old, but with some fresh breeze, it makes us watch it because of the cast he was chosen and their performances. The dialogues are also not up to the mark they are just simple and regular. The screenplay is OK.

DOP: – Sameer Reddy has done some decent and nice job. He showed the locations beautifully which we have seen previously but in some different way. Even in the songs also the photography is good.

Music: Mickey.J.Mayer is the music director of this movie. The music is ok, but the background score is good for the film. Two songs are excellent. Nilavade song from Balu reminds us the old type melody. But some songs tells us the old songs of Mickey and will look like they have the same tune. Overall these songs will be like already heard songs.

What’s good: Actors performances are good in this movie. Sharvanand and Anupama Parameswaran chemistry worked well. Even their acting is a plus for this film. Photography is also good. Background score is OK.

What’s bad:  

The story narration is slow. It is the routine old story which we have watched several times in some of the movies. The director choosing this type of script shouldn’t expect much or else he should write some interesting twists with some humor text, and there should be more emotional scenes. The second half is also dragging.

What should’ve been done:
These type of family movies all look alike, but the director should take the care that it should be presented in a different way in which the audience may feel that there is something new in the movie with the fresh subject and different approach. If one doesn’t have that feel, then you are failed with your attempt. This could have been better if the director doesn’t mold it in a routine way. Though the cast is excellent, the scenes are in the same old type only.

Final verdict:

This movie is the old wine in a new bottle. Though it can be one-time watch the story tests our patience and who are much involved with family sentiments and emotions may get connected with this movie. Especially this generation grandparent may face the situation shown in the film. So for this Sankranti, we cannot expect much from this movie as the Chiru and Balayya movies have got some positive response.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shriya Saran, Hema Malini

A much-awaited movie of the year and Balakrishna’s 100th movie let’s see what our history was gonna tell us about our great ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Story:

The movie starts with ministers of Satakarni who warns Nahapana, the king of Saurashtra and another king in the southern region. The priests praise their king and ask them to surrender and live together as one state. But both the kings refuses. Then Satakarni enters and defeats the king and makes an agreement by joining their forces and let him only rule his kingdom. Now Satakarni’s primary goal is to beat Nahapana and make all the states under one rule, and there should be only one king where he can occupy all the kingdoms and maintain peace. Vasishta( Shriya) wife of Satakarni meets her husband on account of their wedding anniversary. But later she comes to know that Satakarni was going to take their first son to war field and fight with Nahapana. On hearing this she refuses. But Satakarni doesn’t listen to her and takes his son to war. There he defeats Nahapana and also saves the children of other kings who were captured and made as prisoners by Nahapana. He kills Nahapana and hoists their flag by declaring their victory. Here comes the interval. In the second half Demetrius, the foreign ruler comes to know about the greatness and achievements of Satakarni and wants to occupy the whole India and defeat Satakarni. But with a good plan and great courage let’s see his the war episode has gone well in the theaters only. These type war movies should be watched visually.

Performances:

Nandamuri Balakrishna: He did the lead role of Gautamiputra Satakarni. Balayya did justice to his role. His dedication can be seen on the screen. He worked hard for all the war scenes. His dialogue delivery is always in the same way with aggressiveness. But the makeover of Satakarni doesn’t suit well for Balayya. Though he performed well his looks in the movie are not good. Overall Balayya has done a good job and did what he can do for this film.

Shriya Saran: We have to talk about her especially because she is the only actress who did complete justice to her role. She played the character of Vasishta Devi wife of Gautamiputra Satakarni. Her emotional scenes came out well. She even looked beautiful even at this age after a long gap. Her dances and performance both are played nice. So she is the of the plus for the movie.

Hema Malini: In the first half of the film you can only hear one dialogue from her that too which is in the trailer. She has nothing to do in the first half. She played the character of the mother of Gautamiputra Satakarni. In the second half, she has a little character where she has been spoken that for some dialogues only.

The actors who have acted in this movie has no scope for the acting except for the war episodes. But as it is a war movie we have to accept that there wouldn’t be much room for others to act if it is rather than a drama but not the war film.
Technical Aspects:

Director: Krish is the director for this prestigious 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna. By selecting this type of story, Krishh has made a significant step that too an actor like Balayya. Within a short span of time Krish has done what he can do. But he hasn’t told much about the Satakarni, but he only projected his victories over other kingdoms. Even in the war episode before interval has almost looked like a climax scene which is too lengthy and some shots are even repeated. If he had taken still more time, the output could have been even better. Even the VFX work looked indigent.

Music: Chirantan Bhatt is the music director for this film. He previously collaborated with Krish in the movie ‘Kanche’ which got a positive response. In this video especially he gave good background score for all war episodes which is nice. But for the songs it didn’t came out well. But he helped with his background score which is the central part of the movie especially for the movies like this war type.

DOP: Gnanasekhar is the cinematographer for this film. He is OK with his job. But because of the poor graphics work, his work isn’t elevated much when we compare with other war movies. But it is OK for this film. And there is nothing much to talk about it.

Dialogues: Sai Madhav Burra has written the dialogues for this movie. His work is very impressive. There are some excellent conversations on Telugu Jaati and Balakrishna telling about the greatness of mother like that he has made his pen to work hard for some good dialogues. Balayya in his style has delivered it smoothly.

The production values are OK. But not up to the mark. Some more work has to be done for the better output.

What’s good:

 The good thing in the movie is Balyya’s dedication for the film and the hard work he did. Shriya Saran is the big plus for the film. Background score for episodes has to cone out well.

What’s bad:

 The movie has no story plot. Krish hasn’t told the story of Gautamiputra Satakarni, but he just focused on his victories. Taking other state actors hasn’t worked well as their dubbing was not good. Senior actors like Hema Malini have been wasted. Songs don’t help the movie. Balayya makeover is not good and not good looking. The second half has only one war episode where the whole story is spotted for the final was an episode. Even the first half will be over with a long battle scene. Graphics work destitute.

What should’ve been done:
If not for Sankranti this movie needs time for better output. Hema Malini should have been given some role where there is scope for real acting. There should have been some story narration about Gautamiputra Satakarni. Even the war scene before interval reminds us Lord of the Rings as it is shot in the same way. These type of movies need good VFX work and time for a better output. Krish should have thought about it, and he could have made a good film.

Final verdict:

For this Sankranti, this movie can be watched only for Balakrishna, Shriya Saran and some meaningful dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra. Apart from these some war episodes are good. But let’s see whether the collections may rise as there are holidays. Finally, this movie is a one time watch, and these type war movies rarely come so you can watch it.
