Nagarjuna content with supporting Roles | CineChitram

Of late, seasoned Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has changed his tack and developed a liking for supporting roles with meaty character arcs. After his rustic drama Naa Sami Ranga, Nagarjuna didn’t sign any film as the lead protagonist. Instead, he is inclined towards doing significant characters in other heroes films. 

Besides hosting the highly popular Big Boss Show, Nag is currently busy shooting for Dhanush’s upcoming film Kubera. He plays a prominent role in this Sekhar Kammula directional. All posters presented him in a serious and dignified look. Reportedly, he will have equal screen presence with Dhanush and his role carries the narrative forward.

Apart from Kubera, Nag will be seen in another supporting role in Rajinikanth’s forthcoming action drama Coolie in the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The handsome actor will be seen in a flamboyant character in this film which features a host of other stars. 

Unlike his colleagues, Nag appears to be content with these side characters and not in a hurry to do hero-centric films without proper stories. He is game for substantial roles as a supporting actor no matter what is the length and duration. 

Coming to his straight films, Nag is yet to take call. He is busy with Big Boss and these commitments. Meanwhile, he is overseeing Akhil’s next projects. So, the wait for Akkineni fans to see Nagarjuna in a direct hero-oriented film continues.
