Sandeep Reddy Vanga Responds to Former IAS Officer Vikas Divyakirti’s Remarks on Animal | CineChitram

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has responded to former IAS officer Vikas Divyakirti’s criticism of Animal, stating that while one can become an IAS officer through coaching and rigorous study, filmmaking is a craft that cannot be learned solely from books.
Vikas Divyakirti, who portrayed a UPSC professor in 12th Fail, had earlier commented that films like Animal are unnecessary for society and are made purely for financial gain. Addressing these remarks in a recent interview, Vanga said he was deeply affected by the criticism and felt as if he had committed a wrongdoing.
Vanga further stated that while structured coaching exists for civil services, no such formal training is available for filmmaking or screenwriting. He emphasized that cinema is a medium driven by passion, creativity, and self-learning, rather than academic study.
