Hyderabad: The Telugu Film Art Directors Association has strongly condemned comments made by People’s Media head Vishwa Prasad, who recently referred to art directors as an “art mafia” in an interview. The association has demanded that the remarks be retracted.
In an official note, the association stated that art directors play a vital role in film production, overseeing necessary changes on sets in consultation with producers, which can sometimes increase or decrease costs. “Producers are fully aware of expenses. It is unacceptable to publicly blame art directors. Misunderstandings can cause unnecessary losses,” the note added.
