Akshaye Khanna, who impressed audiences with his portrayal of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Chhava, recently reflected on his journey in the industry. In an interview, he opened up about his struggles with early hair loss and how it impacted him both personally and professionally.
“I started losing hair at 19, and at that age, it was devastating. I didn’t understand what was happening, and it took a toll on my confidence. Even after coming to terms with it, I still struggled with my looks, especially in an industry where appearance plays a major role,” Akshaye admitted.
Chhava Earns Tax Exemption in Select States
Known for his impactful performances in films like Taal, Dil Chahta Hai, Hulchul, and Race, Akshaye made a strong comeback with Drishyam 2 in 2022, where he played a police officer. Now, with Chhava, he has once again captivated audiences. His portrayal of Aurangzeb, the ruthless Mughal emperor who subjected Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to brutal torture, has been widely praised. Following its success, the film has been granted tax exemption in select states, further boosting its reach.

Actress Genelia Deshmukh recently watched Chhava and shared her admiration for the performances, especially Vicky Kaushal’s. “There are some actors whose films you just know will be great, and for me, Vicky Kaushal is one of them. His dedication and craft always stand out,” she said.
