Chhaava Now Streaming on Netflix — But Only in Hindi, Disappointing Regional Fans | CineChitram

The long-awaited period drama Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, has finally arrived on Netflix. Helmed by Laxman Utekar, this big-screen extravaganza wowed critics and audiences in its theatrical outing, emerging as one of the most discussed Bollywood films of the year. Right from its heartfelt storytelling to its grand scale, Chhaava was a cinematic masterpiece.

However, its OTT debut has taken many by surprise — and not in a good way.

Though Chhaava is released in theatres in more than one Indian language, presently the movie runs only in Hindi on Netflix. This decision has left regional language audiences, especially Telugu movie lovers, feeling let down. Fans were eagerly expecting to watch their favourite movie in their native tongue, particularly with the multi-lingual film’s theatrical launch building up expectation to a frenzy.

With the need for pan-India content availability increasing at a fast pace, viewers are now asking Netflix to release dubbed versions of Chhaava in other Indian languages too. For the time being, viewers will have to make do with the Hindi version, hoping that other language versions will be available soon.

As of now, Chhaava is available to stream only in Hindi on Netflix. Whether the platform will serve its broader Indian audience with regional language versions is yet to be seen.
