Mumbai: The recently released Bollywood film Chhava has emerged as a major box office success, setting new records in collections. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, the historical drama has received critical acclaim and is witnessing a strong theatrical run. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film features Vicky Kaushal in the role of Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
In a significant milestone, Chhava has surpassed the Bollywood collections of Baahubali 2. The SS Rajamouli-directed epic, starring Prabhas, had earned ₹510 crore in the Hindi market. Chhava has now exceeded this figure, collecting ₹516 crore within 25 days of its release.
The film, which hit theatres on February 14, currently ranks as the sixth highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time.
