Producer Dil Raju, known for his collaboration with Victory Venkatesh and director Anil Ravipudi on the upcoming film Sankranti Ki Vastunnam, set to release on January 14, recently addressed a controversy that emerged after his comments at the film’s trailer launch.
During the event, Dil Raju spoke about traditional ‘dawat’ in our culture, which led to claims on social media accusing him of insulting Telangana people. In response, Dil Raju clarified, “As a resident of Nizamabad district, I hosted the event in Telangana. I deeply admire Telangana’s culture, and it was never my intention to offend anyone. My film Balagam, which I produced, was embraced by the Telangana community, and all political parties have praised it. We also filmed Fida in Banswada, a movie that showcased Telangana culture globally. As a proud Telangana native, I could never disrespect my own state.”
Dil Raju’s statement aimed to address the backlash and assure the people of Telangana of his respect for their culture.
