The buzz for ‘Akhanda 2’, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna and helmed by Boyapati Srinu, continues to grow as the production of the movie accelerates at breakneck speed. Ever since the shooting commenced, the crew has worked day and night, capturing stunning shots in regal settings such as Prayagraj’s Kumbh Mela.
Balakrishna, who will be playing dual roles in the film, will add an even more powerful and intense performance to the Aghora character, a crowd-favorite from the original. The scenes filmed at Kumbh Mela with the Aghora persona will be some of the most impressive moments of the film.
According to the recent update, the team was able to finish the talkie segments of the Aghora character successfully, which is a major step forward for the movie.
With the Aghora segment completed, the shoot is now turning the corner to the second role of Balakrishna. In contrast to the far-out outdoor schedule for the first stint, the majority of the next set of sequences will be shot in Hyderabad. For authenticity, the unit will be creating realistic village backdrops for crucial portions rather than depending on big outdoor sets.
Although the exact percentage of completion remains undisclosed, sources suggest that Boyapati Srinu is aiming to wrap up filming by the end of June, ensuring sufficient time for post-production work. The makers are targeting a grand theatrical release in September 2024.
Acclaimed music director Thaman has already completed the film’s soundtrack, and the next step involves shooting the high-energy songs that will add to the film’s mass appeal.
