Over the past three years, Harish has been closely associated with Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Though the project has generated massive buzz, progress has been slow due to Pawan’s packed schedule. With both Hari Hara Veera Mallu and They Call Him OG still in production, it appears Ustaad Bhagat Singh will have to wait its turn.
Rather than wait indefinitely, Harish has now shifted his focus and is actively working on two exciting new ventures—one featuring Ram Pothineni, and the other with Nandamuri Balakrishna. While the film with Balakrishna is expected to take a bit more time to materialize, the project with Ram is already in the fast lane. Ram is currently wrapping up a film being directed by none other than Mahesh Babu, reportedly marking his directorial debut. Once that’s completed, he’ll begin shooting with Harish.
To ensure both upcoming films have strong scripts and solid foundations, Harish Shankar has established a creative base in Coorg. Much like how Puri Jagannadh famously developed his scripts in Bangkok, Harish and his writing team are staying in Coorg to focus on story development. Notably, Harish is stepping away from remakes this time and is aiming for fresh, original content.
With big stars like Ram and Balakrishna attached, and the promise of high-octane storytelling, expectations are sky-high. These projects are expected to be made on a grand scale, with Harish planning a strong comeback that fans have been waiting for.
Stay tuned as more official updates roll in about casting, production schedules, and shooting details—Harish Shankar’s next moves are definitely ones to watch in Tollywood!
