NTR’s Devara Locked with Lengthy Runtime | CineChitram

NTR and Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated second film, Devara, is set to premiere on September 27. The movie, which explores the scenic yet overlooked coastal islands of India, boasts a massive budget. Early ticket sales are performing exceptionally well in international markets. The theatrical trailer was revealed in Mumbai.

Devara received a U/A certification from the censor board. While many anticipated an A rating given the intense violence depicted in the promotional material, it did not come to pass. The latest update confirms that the film’s approved runtime is 178 minutes (2 hours and 58 minutes).

The extended runtime poses a challenge, and Koratala Siva will need to deliver a compelling screenplay to keep the audience engaged. Recent high-profile films have faced criticism for their extended durations and dragged-out scenes, so it will be interesting to see how Koratala Siva manages to sustain interest throughout the film.
