After making a massive global impact with RRR, Jr. NTR took his time before stepping into his next big project, Devara. However, with both films facing unexpected delays, the star is now shifting gears to ensure quicker turnarounds for his upcoming projects. Determined to treat his fans with consecutive releases, NTR has strategically planned his next three films to arrive during major festival seasons.
First up is War 2, the much-anticipated action thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji. NTR shares the screen with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan in this YRF Spy Universe film. The project is in its final leg of shooting, with a high-energy song sequence featuring both stars currently being filmed. With only minor patchwork left, the film is locked in for a grand theatrical release on August 14, 2025, perfectly timed for Independence Day celebrations.
Following War 2, NTR will dive into Dragon, helmed by KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel. Though the shoot has already commenced, the superstar will join the sets in April 2025. The crew is working against time to wrap up production by November 2025, with a Sankranti 2026 release. With Prashanth Neel’s trademark dark storytelling and NTR’s energetic performances, Dragon is likely to be a festival hit. It is said that NTR himself has stressed the need to meet deadlines so that there are no avoidable delays.
In addition to these two mega projects, NTR has also committed to Devara 2, the sequel to Koratala Siva’s Devara. The film is expected to address unresolved mysteries from the first part, adding to the excitement. The shooting is set to kick off between June and July 2025, with completion targeted by January 2026. To ensure top-notch post-production quality, the team has locked in a Dussehra 2026 release window.
With these three power-packed films arriving at regular intervals, fans who have been eagerly waiting for back-to-back NTR releases finally have something to cheer for. If all goes as planned, the next couple of years will see the superstar dominating the box office like never before.
