NTR’s Gets A Big Boost From AP Govt. | CineChitram

The new government of Andhra Pradesh reinstated the practice of screening midnight shows for big-ticket films starting from NTR’s upcoming movie Devara which is set for a grand release on September 27th. There is a lot of suspense on how Chandrababu Naidu’s government reacts on NTR’s films because of the strained relationship between the actor and the Nandamuri family. So, these orders came as a big shock to everyone.

An official order issued by the government of Andhra Pradesh permitted the distributors of Devara to start midnight shows from 12 am on the day of release, facilitating 6 shows on the first day. The government also allowed screening of 5 shows from second day to ninth day in all areas.

In a major boost for the openings, the government permitted to hike the ticket prices of upper class by Rs 110 and lower class by Rs 60 and  Multiplexes by Rs 135 for the first 14 days from the release date. These orders were issued on the permission of buyer Suryadevara Naga Vamshi. He extended gratitude to the government of AP, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh for the prompt and immediate response to the request.

Devara has been making a massive buzz all over. The pre-sales in North America are quite stupendous and the domestic bookings are likely to open very soon on a thumping note. With the enhanced ticket prices in Telugu States, the film is set for a sensational opening all over.

NTR plays dual roles in this sea thriller which is set in the backdrop of faraway coastal lands. Saif Ali Khan is the antagonist and Janhvi Kapoor is the female lead. The theatrical trailer set the tone for a phenomenal box office show. If the film garners positive response, the first weekend collections will be humongous.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara will release in two parts. NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts are jointly bankrolling the film. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.
