Megastar Chiranjeevi was recently honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by Bridge India at the UK Parliament in recognition of his contributions to cinema and society over the past four and a half decades.
Expressing his pride and admiration, actor and politician Pawan Kalyan took to social media to congratulate his elder brother. In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), he stated that he considers it an honor to be Chiranjeevi’s younger brother and that this award further enhances his legacy.
“From being the son of a middle-class excise constable to becoming a Megastar through sheer talent, my brother has entertained audiences worldwide for over four and a half decades. He has set a benchmark in acting, winning nine Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards. I will always take pride in being his younger brother,” Pawan Kalyan wrote.
He further described Chiranjeevi as a father figure who guided him during uncertain times and lauded his philanthropic efforts through the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, which has facilitated blood and eye donations for those in need. Pawan Kalyan also acknowledged his brother’s role in inspiring millions to engage in social service.
Highlighting Chiranjeevi’s influence beyond cinema, he noted that the Government of India recently conferred the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second-highest civilian honor, in recognition of his service.
Pawan Kalyan concluded by expressing his gratitude to UK MP Navendu Mishra for hosting the award ceremony and extended his best wishes for Chiranjeevi to receive more such accolades in the future.
