As part of the promotions for her latest Bollywood film Deva, actress Pooja Hegde, along with co-star Shahid Kapoor, participated in a recent interview. During the interaction, Hegde was asked about her association with top Bollywood stars, a question that appeared to frustrate her.
When questioned whether she considered herself fortunate to have worked with Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, and if she truly deserved such opportunities, Hegde responded assertively. “I am absolutely deserving of these roles. Directors and producers have their reasons for casting me. When an opportunity comes my way, I prepare and give my best to do justice to the character. If you call that luck, I have no issues with it,” she stated.
Further, when asked if she selectively works only with star heroes, Hegde appeared visibly irritated and retorted, “What exactly is your problem?” Sensing the tension, Shahid Kapoor interjected with humor, remarking, “I think he really admires the stars you’ve worked with. Maybe he also wants to act alongside them and is taking tips from you!” His lighthearted response helped lighten the atmosphere.
