Rajisha Vijayan Rumored to Join the Cast of Kaithi 2 | CineChitram

Sequels have been the latest fashion in film. Many directors take their stories beyond one part into several parts. When a blockbuster announces its sequel, fans are uncontrollable.

One of the most eagerly awaited sequels is Kaithi 2, starring Karthi. The 2019 action thriller Kaithi was a cult classic that won the hearts of audiences with its gripping storyline and high-octane action sequences. The film also turned out to be a game-changer for director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who later introduced the concept of a shared cinematic universe, known as the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Despite a never-ending list of projects, Kaithi 2 remains one of the most awaited movies in his lineup.Both Lokesh and Karthi have officially confirmed the sequel, with Karthi having previously hinted that filming might begin this summer. More updates to this teaser are that Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan has been roped in for a pivotal role in the movie. This rumor has it that she will feature in a flashback sequence opposite Karthi though any sort of confirmation is still awaited.

Currently, Lokesh is working with Coolie, as done by the superstar Rajinikanth. Like all previous ventures, it’s a sole and independent picture outside the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, he will be heading Kaithi 2 shortly, after being released from coolie. This in addition also speaks of larger ventures like Vikram 2 and Leo 2 in addition to doing a spin off film from this series on Suriya’s role that is to say Rolex. Given his packed schedule, it could take at least three to four years for all these projects to materialize.

Presently, he is shooting for Sardar 2 under the direction of PS Mithran. Once Sardar 2 is completed, all eyes will be on Kaithi 2 as Karthi is expected to begin filming for the much-awaited sequel.
