Actor Nithiin is in pursuit of a much needed break after scoring a series of flops at the box office. His upcoming film Robinhood occupied the vacant Christmas slot after the postponement of Game Changer and Thandel.
The first teaser of Robinhood is out today and it promises a heist thriller with a blend of romance and humour in equal proportions. The film, a Venky Kudumula directional, has Nithiin playing the role of Honey Singh, a dynamic and flamboyant thief who targets the rich in a foreign country. This Robinhood is inspired by the folklore character. But, what he does with that money is not revealed.
While the search is on to find out his identity, Nithiin is busy pursuing his romantic interest played by happening beauty Sree Leela who looks like a drop-dead gorgeous in a chic avatar. There seems to be adequate dose of slapstick comedy led by Rajendra Prasad and the story is packed with fine amount of action part as well. The story shifts to motherland where Nithiin averts a potential trouble to all his brothers and sisters of the country.
Nithiin looks stylish and sauve and seems to be back in his elements. His comedy timing is impressive and lover boy image appears to be still intact.
Director Venky Kudumula delivered a full-length entertainer with Nithiin’s Bheema. Robinhood also sticks to the same template with rich visuals and promising production values. The music score by GV Prakash is refreshing and fits the bill for the genre.
Overall, the teaser strikes a chord with the viewers for its impressive cut. It will generate a positive vibe around the film. Mythri Movie Makers produced the film and it will hit the screens on December 25th.
