Tollywood’s well-known comedian-turned-hero, Sapthagiri, is set to return as the main lead in the upcoming film “Pelli Kani Prasad” after a long time. Directed by Abhilash Reddy Gopidi, the movie stars Priyanka Sharma as the female lead alongside Sapthagiri.

Touted to be a comedy-drama, the film is slated for a theatrical release on March 21, 2025, promising an entertaining experience for audiences. To add to the excitement, the filmmakers recently released the teaser, which was unveiled by Pan-Indian star Prabhas on his social media today. Describing the teaser as fun and entertaining, Prabahs extended his best wishes to Sapthagiri and the team.

The film’s title playfully references Victory Venkatesh’s iconic character from the cult classic Malleshwari, adding to its buzz. The teaser is a humor-filled ride with Sapthagiri portraying Pelli Kani Prasad, a bachelor from a family with a deep-rooted dowry tradition. His father demands ₹2 crores as dowry for his marriage, while Sapthagiri frustrates as all his friends get married while he remains single. A priest predicts that his fate will change only if his father has a change of heart about his marriage. Will his father relent, or will he find a bride willing to pay the hefty dowry? This will be revealed in theaters.

Produced by Thama Media Entertainments and released by Dil Raju under his production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film also features Marlydhar Goud, Annapurnama, Vadlamani Srinivas, Pramodini, Basha, Laxman Meesala, Rohini, and Ramprasad. The film’s music is composed by Sekhar Chandra, with Sujatha Siddharth as the cinematographer and Madhu as the editor.
