The critically acclaimed director Sukumar, who created waves throughout Tollywood and Bollywood with Pushpa 2, is today one of Indian cinema’s most in-demand directors. Released last December, the film broke box office records to rake in an astonishing ₹1,800 crore globally. Thanks to Allu Arjun’s scintillating performance and Sukumar’s edge-of-the-seat narration, Pushpa 2 took the Hindi market by storm, garnering the attention of the top Bollywood producers and directors.
Sukumar is currently busy working on RC17, a pan-India film with Ram Charan in the lead. The recent rumour in tinsel town is that Shah Rukh Khan is under talks with Sukumar for an action-packed psychological thriller. This union, if it happens, will be the grand Bollywood entry of Sukumar and will also bring together two titans from the world of cinema.
When Sukumar’s unique brand of storytelling meets SRK’s magnetism on the screen, the project could turn out to be a new box office benchmark-setter. Supporters are waiting keenly for any confirmation.
