Thalapathy Vijay is currently working on Thalapathy 69, his final film before transitioning fully into politics. Directed by H. Vinoth, this highly anticipated project is generating buzz, especially with the speculation surrounding its plot.
In a recent promotional event for Sankranthiki Vasthunam, actor VTV Ganesh officially confirmed that Thalapathy 69 is indeed a Tamil remake of the successful Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, which starred Balakrishna. Ganesh shared that Vijay, a huge fan of Bhagavanth Kesari, was so impressed by the film that he watched it five times. Vijay expressed his desire to remake it in Tamil and even approached the original director, Anil Ravipudi. However, Ravipudi did not agree to direct the Tamil version, and despite several directors approaching Vijay with their take on the film, he waited for the right one to bring his vision to life.
The confirmation has raised expectations for Thalapathy 69, as fans eagerly await Vijay’s interpretation of the action-packed story. As the actor’s swan song before his political journey, this film carries tremendous significance for his dedicated followers, who are excited to witness his grand cinematic farewell.
