Krishna Prasad Chowdary, popularly known as KP Chowdary, a prominent Telugu dubbed investor in the blockbuster Rajinikanth starrer Kabali, reportedly killed himself by taking his life. Preliminary investigation reports said severe financial constraints were the likely driving force for such an extreme measure.
In 2023, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team apprehended KP Chowdary for his involvement in a drug case. He was reportedly caught holding 93 grams of cocaine and further investigations proved that he is involved in the peddling of drugs, and it is claimed that he supplied narcotics to a few Tollywood celebrities. Later, he was released on bail.
Post his legal troubles, Chowdary shifted to Goa, where he started a pub named OHM. However, his financial burdens seemed to have worsened. Today, news of his suicide has sent shockwaves across the industry. Authorities have launched an investigation to uncover more details surrounding his death.
