India, 19th Sep, 2016: It’s time for all those boys and girls who are crazy for Shah Rukh Khan to celebrate! SRKUniverse, the biggest fan-universe of superstar SRK, is coming up with The Fourth Annual SRK Fandom Awards 2016 on 31st October 2016. Since its inception, the awards used to take place on the social media only but this year SRKUniverse is leaving no stone unturned and is taking it to the next level by hosting it at Club Millennium Juhu in Mumbai where fans will join from around the globe. There is a lot of action this year – stand-up comedy acts, live performances by renowned singers and much more. The event will go live on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter as well.
Founder of SRKUniverse and organizer of Fandom Awards, Maldives based Muhammad Ashraf, said, “SRKUniverse has always followed the motto of uniting fans all over the world. So we have decided to conduct SRK Fandom Awards in Mumbai every year from now onwards. The idea of having SRK Fandom Awards is to make the fans happy, to spread joy in the fandom, to proliferate the spirit of ‘SRK-ism,’ to make everyone forget their differences and bring them closer, and to celebrate the notion of being fans.”
With 21 categories this year, SRK Fandom Awards is one of its kinds to recognize the fans of one of the biggest superstars of India. It’s a testimony for all those whose hearts beat for SRK. Whether you are a crazy fan or the friendliest fan, or you have been muddled up in controversy because of your love for SRK, everyone has a chance there. The categories include: Best Fan Club, Best Fan Girl, Best Fan Boy, Fastest News Breaker, Best Photo Editor, Friendliest SRKian, Best Video Editor, Number Cruncher SRKian, Funniest SRKian, Best Writer SRKian, Upcoming SRKian (male and female), Non-SRKian SRK Admirer, Most Peaceful SRKian, Best SRKian on Facebook, Best SRKian on Instagram, Best Creative SRKian (male and female), Best Trend Maker/ Setter, Most Active SRKian During Twitter Trends and Best Branch of SRK Universe.
Fans will be asked to put up the Twitter handles of people who they think deserve in diverse categories that were designed based on what the fans do round-the-year. Nomination entry period begins 12:01 AM (IST) on 25th September and ends at 11:59 PM (IST) on 20th October 2016.
