Popular Actor Mohan Raj passes Away | CineChitram

Actor Mohan Raj, who shot to fame playing the antagonist ‘Keerikkadan Jose’ in Sibi Malayil’s Kirredam (1989), passed away on Thursday. He acted in over 300 films in different South Indian languages. Reportedly, Mohanraj had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease and diabetes, and had moved to Thiruvananthapuram for Ayurvedic treatment. He passed away at his residence in the city. 

Mohan Raj gained widespread recognition for his iconic villainous roles in many blockbuster films. With a career spanning over three decades, Mohan Raj played many notable villain characters, leaving an impact on moviegoers. 

Known for his antagonist roles throughout his career, Mohan Raj has also starred in several Tamil and Telugu films. In the later stage of his career, he even tried his hand at roles with humourous touch. He also acted in soap operas in the end of his career. 

Mohan Raj is familiar to Telugu audiences for his roles in Lorry Driver, Shivamani, Stuartapuram Police station, Assembly Rowdy, Narasimha Naidu and Samarasimha Reddy.
