Kollywood’s talented actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest release, Dragon in Tamil (released as Return of the Dragon in Telugu), is garnering positive reviews and enjoying a successful run at the box office. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the movie stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles. Released on February 21, the film grossed an impressive 25 crores within just 3 days.
After hearing all the positive buzz about the film, maverick director Shankar also joined in on the praise last night. He shared his review on the movie, commending Dragon for its impressive performances and brilliant writing. Director S. Shankar took to his social media platform X, saying, “#DRAGON – A beautiful movie. Excellent writing – hats off to director Ashwath. All characters have a beautiful and complete journey.”
Highlighting the actor’s performances, he wrote, “Pradeep Ranaganathan showed us again that he’s a terrific entertainer and proved that he is a strong, soulful performer as well. Mysskin, Anupama Parameswaran, and George Maryan gave performances that stay in your heart. All Gen-Z/millennial characters did very well! The last twenty minutes moved me to tears. In a world with increasing number of cheats it’s a much needed message! Congrats to AGS Entertainments and the whole team!
Overwhelmed by Shankar’s words, Pradeep Ranganathan expressed his gratitude, calling it an “Unbelievable dream.” He wrote, “Sirrrrrrrr Never dreamt of getting these comments for a boy who grew up watching your films, being a fan who admired you, looked upto you… and u (my most fav director) talking about me is nothing but an unbelievable dream.
